1. Raymond Dokpesi - is a well known media magnate and politician, the chairman of Daar Communication Limited that owns the largest private radio network in Nigeria which consists of AIT- Africa Independent Television, Raypower FM Nigeria and Faaji FM
Based on our findings, he has over 22 radio stations across Nigeria.
2. Tajudeen Adepetu- is a media tycoon and Chairman of Group8 Limited,one of the largest media conglomerate in Africa, formerly known as Consolidated Media Associates and Alphavision Productions, the parent company of soundcity Radio [Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda]; Correct FM [Lagos, Ibadan, Kaduna, Calabar & Enugu]; Urban96 Radio[Lagos, Enugu & Abuja] He's also the owner of Soundcity TV, Correct TV, My Spice TV, Trybe TV, Access 24, OnTV, OnMax, Televista, Village Square TV, Life Africa TV, Xchange TV and Ummah TV. All these stations are headquartered at 5 Ayo Jagun Street, Lekki phase 1, Lagos State.
According to Radio Reporter NG, Mr TAJ presently has 14 radio stations across Nigeria.
3. Amin Ibrahim Moussalli-is a Lebanese-Nigerian based Captain of media Industry. He is the GMD of AIM Group: Globe communications Limited and Steam Broadcasting & Communication Limited. Amin is also the owner of CWIA Radio meaning- Arewa Radio Kano, Wazobia FM, Nigeria Info FM and Cool FM Nigeria. He's also the owner of Cool TV, Wazobia TV, Wazobia Max , Currently , he owns 13 radio stations in Nigeria.
4. Chris Ubosi - is Nigerian broadcaster, radiopreneur, quantity surveyor and project manager. He's one of the pioneer in private broadcasting and new media in Nigeria, having run, operated and consulted severally for various top private radio stations in the country. As we speak, Chris Ubosi is the CEO and founder of Megalectrics Limited; Operators of three (4) radio network in Nigeria and one in London: Classic FM 97.3, LagosTalk91.3 FM, The Beat 99.9FM, The Beat 103.6 FM London and Naija FM 102.7.
Ubosi started his broadcasting career in 1993. He co-founded Mtech Communications in August 2001. He worked with AIMS GROUP, an Architecture and Engineering firm which later formed a broadcasting firm called Steam Broadcasting. He serves as the executive director of Steam broadcasting. He has 13 radio stations across Nigeria.
5. Ben Murray Bruce- is a Nigerian-born business mogul cum politician. Mr. Murray Bruce is the chairman of Silverbird Communications comprises the company's radio station Rhythm 93.7 FM, Silverbird cinema, and Silverbird Television. He has 7 radio stations in six Geo political zone in Nigeria.
6. Faruk Dalhatu- is currently the Publisher/CEO of Freedom Newspapers Limited, the publishers of Freedom Express Newspaper and Managing Director Freedom Radio, Dandal Kura Radio [SW and FM Station] and Dala FM 88.5 Kano. He owns and manage runs over 7 radio stations majorly in the Northern part of the country.
7. Umar Faruk Musa is a consummate journalist of international repute having over 25 years, with experience spanning from print to electronic media. He worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC World Service before joining Voice of America (VOA) as reporter/editor. He is the CEO of Vision FM Nigeria and Farin Wata TV.
8. Yinka Ayefele- is a Nigerian music producer, gospel singer, radio presenter and founder of Fresh FM Nigeria. Yinka Ayefele owns six radio station in each state in Southwest part of the country, called Fresh FM located in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Osogbo and Lagos State. Ayefele first radio station was established in 2015 and licensed by NBC on 30 April 2015.
9. Larry Izamoje - is the Chairman of Brila FM (Sports Radio), the Nigeria's first sports radio station was founded and went on the air in 2002. Larry Izamoje currently possess 5 sports radio stations in the country; Brila FM Lagos, Brila FM Abuja, Brila FM Kaduna, Brila FM Onitsha and Brila FM Port Harcourt.
10. Christiana Anyanwu- a Nigerian journalist, Media mogul, author, and politician. Anyanwu is the founder and Owner of Hot FM Nigeria [4] which made of Hot FM Lagos, Hot FM Abuja, Hot FM Owerri and Hot FM 96.5 Asaba
She holds bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in Mass Communication from Florida State University.
I don't even know that one of my favourite stations if not the most is owned by a Lebanese.

DeleteMy best radio station so far is FRESH FM. Maybe is because of my love for OJA but I love almost all thier programs, switching from one fresh FM to another
ReplyDeleteAyefele Fresh FM just added another radio station named "Blast FM" a contemporary radio station just for all sorts of music in Ibadan. Kudos!
