Kwara State commissioner for communication, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh received the broadcast license on Wednesday for the stated owned new Radio Stations named Nootia 88.7 FM in Okuta, Baruten local government and Kakakin 88.9 FM in Ilorin, the state capital.
Buraimoh noted that Kwara State Government established Nootia FM in Okuta to correct the anomaly of non-coverage of many areas by its major radio stations in the state.
“The two new stations of radio Kwara are about to take off the air and it'll enable the people of the state to get informed about the activities of the government” commissioner said.
The license was officially by the General Manager of Kwara Broadcasting Corporation better known as Radio Kwara, Alhaji Kayode Aremu who expressed his pleasure at such thoughtful project by the state Government.
