Adejare Amuda, an award winning broadcast journalist based in Ibadan, Oyo State, has resigned from the employ of Metropolitan Broadcasting Services owners of Impact Business Radio (IBR 92.5 FM) and Impact Africa Television (IATV).
Amuda, a graduate of Mass Communication, the Polytechnic, Ibadan, had joined the broadcasting station 7 years ago, as one of pioneer workers.
Prior, he had oiled his journalism skills having worked with National Pilot Newspaper, Ilorin, Kwara State, as Head of Business Desk, and later as Yoruba news anchor with Radio Kwara and Kwara State Television.
And upon the establishment of IBR 92.5 FM in 2015, the high-flying broadcaster joined the station which prides itself as “Nigeria’s first business radio.”
He is reputed to be the first Yoruba Presenter on IBR92.5fm better known as Amutajero, and also the first ‘voice’ on the radio station.
Amuda had produced and anchored one of flagship programmes of the station, interviewing the movers and shakers of Oyo and South West politics generally.
When the television arm of the broadcasting firm, IATV, berthed in 2018, Amuda was one of first face to adorn the screen.
Some of the programmes are: Mórí délé, Awodi Oke, Ipada Awa Ara wa, Ọrọ̀ Ajé Ilẹ̀ Wa, Ìdílé Aláyọ̀ with Kehinde Faramade, ÀPÈRÈ Ọ̀RỌ̀ a political Programme and Faaji extra on Saturdays. He was the major anchor on Yorùbá paper review Kílónṣẹlẹ̀ and christened afternoon Bizarre news Ólénkenkà during the Era of Tayo Ogunade as the Head of Operations at the station.
On IATV, Amuda was the anchor of ‘Bosenlo’, a tech talk and innovation update on TV, was the producer ‘Kagbeyewo’ a flagship programme. He was the anchor and Producer of Ojú Kẹta on IATV.
He was also the major Yoruba news anchor on the IATV as at the time of his exit from the organisation.
Amuda, who equally served as the Head of Programmes and Presentation (Yoruba unit), had received several meritorious awards of diligent and effective service both within and outside his working environment.
Some his awards are, Best Yoruba News Caster, Presenter of Year and as well as Programme of the year.
A statement posted on his social media handles, intimating the public of his resignation, the decorated broadcast journalist applauded the owner of the station, Owolabi Oladejo, for giving him the platform to thrive in the industry.
“I’m out of here in peace,” Amuda declared, saying he bears no grudge against no one.”

However, Amuda, the father of two, has kept his next destination under wraps.
